Symptoms Causes Solution

The soleplate is not

heating even though

the iron is turned on.

Connection problem Check the main power supply cable,

the plug and the outlet.

The temperature control is in the

MIN position.

Select a temperature for the desired

position.

The iron does not

produce steam.

There is not enough water in the

tank.

Fill the water tank (See “Quick Guide”,

“Filling the tank”).

The steam control is selected in

the position

Select the steam control between

the positions of minimum steam and

maximum steam (see chapter “Using

the iron”, “Steam ironing”).

Water leaks from

the soleplate during

ironing.

The iron is not hot enough. Set the temperature dial to a

temperature suitable for steam ironing.

the light turns green before you start

ironing.

The spray function

does not work.

There is not enough water in the

tank.

Dirt and residues

come out during the

ironing

You have used dirty water, which

caused the formation of dirt in the

water tank.

Use the self-cleaning function once

or more times (See chapter “Cleaning

and Maintenance”).

Water leaks from the

soleplate while the

iron is cooling down

or after it has been

stored.

The iron has been put in

horizontal position while there is

still water in the water tank.

Empty the water tank and set the

steam control to position off before

storing the iron.

The steam jet or

vertical steam jet

function does not

work.

The steam jet function was

used very frequently within a

short period.

Put the iron in the horizontal

position and wait before using the

steam jet function.

The iron is not hot enough Adjust the proper temperature to

steam ironing (up to •••). Put the

iron in the vertical position and

wait until the temperature indicator

light turns off.

There is not enough water in

the tank.

Please insert water in the tank.

Get to know the iron

Before using this product, make sure the electrical rating is the same as the one

speci ed on the product tag.

For cleaning and maintenance, switch the product “off” and remove the plug from the

electric outlet.

Do not use the electric cord to pull or carry the product.

Do not leave the electric cord hanging over the edge of a countertop/tabletop to not

damage it.

Never unplug the product by pulling on the electric cord. To unplug, grasp the plug.

Do not bind, twist, strain or knot the electric cord.

If the electric cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the Electrolux Authorized

Service or by quali ed technicians in order to avoid situations of risk.

To avoid risks of electrical shock, do not get the product wet, or operate the product

with wet hands. Do not immerse the electric cord, plug or the product itself in water,

or any other liquid, or ﬂ ammable materials.

This product must not be used by people (including children) who has reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities; or people with no experience and knowledge,

unless, supervised or instructed by someone who is responsible for their security.

Children must be supervised in order to not play with the product.

After unpacking the product, keep the packing materials out of children reach.

Use only original parts. This avoids damage to the product and risk to who operate it.

This product is for household use only.

If the product is provided of a 3 prong grounded plug, it has to be plugged in to an

appropriated outlet.

Do not let the electric cord in contact with the base while it’s hot.

Avoid burnings: while using the iron, do not touch the base and watch out to not

get close to the steam that comes out of the product. If the iron ﬂ ips over, handle

carefully, because it may contain hot water in its water reservoir.

Always use and place your iron on a stable, level and horizontal surface.

After using the iron, set the steam control to the “O” position, putting it on vertical and

removing the plug from the outlet.

To clean,  ll or empty the water reservoir, set the steam control to the “O” position,

putting it on vertical and removing the plug from the outlet.

Use your iron only for its purpose: ironing fabrics.

Do not use your iron if it has been dropped or shows visible signs of leaking.
