Always empty the kettle completely.
Do not leave residual water in the
appliance for a long period.
Do not switch on the appliance
without water.
Only use the kettle with the
associated base.
Disposal
PACKAGING MATERIAL
The packaging materials are
environmentally friendly and can be
recycled. The plastic components are
identified by markings, e .g. >PE<,
>PS<, etc. Please dispose of the
packaging materials in the appropriate
container at the community waste
disposal facilities.
OLD APPLIANCE
The symbol on the product or
on its packaging indicates that this
product may not be treated as
household waste. Instead it shall be
handed over to the applicable collection
point for the recycling of electrical and
electronic equipment. By ensuring this
product is disposed of correctly,
you will help prevent potential negative
consequences for the environment
and human health, which could
otherwise becaused by inappropriate
waste handling of this product. For
more detailed inform ation about
recycling of this product, please
contact your local city office, your
household waste disposal service or
the shop where you purchased the
product.
Using Your Kettle
Before using your new kettle you should
wipe it inside and outside with a damp
cloth due to hygienic reasons.
INITIAL USE
Place the base unit (J) on a firm
surface.
Plug the mains plug into a wall socket.
SAFETY OF CHILDREN
Only use the water kettle when
supervised.
Supervise children particularly carefully!
Packaging material, e.g. plastic bags,
should not be accessible to children.
Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
POINTS TO REMEMBER WHEN
OPERATING THE WATER KETTLE
Before starting the appliance ensure
that the mains cord and plug are dry.
Never use the kettle with wet hands.
Never use the appliance outdoors.
Whilst using the water kettle,
high tempratures are reached which
can cause scalding if the kettle is
not handled carefully. Therefore only
hold the appliance by the handle (F)
provided.
Do not use the kettle unsupervised.
Do not place or use the kettle on hot
surfaces or near naked flames.
Attention: If the kettle is overfilled,there
is a risk that the boiling water may
spray out. Therefore never fill the kettle
above the maximum marking.
Only use your kettle for heating water!
Never put foodstuffs or foodstuff
additives into the kettle. Never heat
milk or stock on the kettle! Do not
place any objects in the kettle!
Never use the appliance with the lid
(D) open as otherwise the automatic
switch off cannot work .
Do not move the appliance whilst
it is on.
Never immerse the appliance in liquid!
Protect the appliance and cord from
heat and wetness.
If the appliance is used for any other
purpose or is incorrectly used, the
manufacturer adopts no liability for any
damages which may result.
