9.1Drainvalve
Thewaterpressureinthecoldwaterintakeisusedforclosingthedrainvalve.Thereisahose(1)
connectedbetweenthewaterintakeandthecontrolvalve(2).Whenthecontrolvalveisactivated
itopensandletswaterintothesupplyline(3)whichisconnectedtothedrainvalve.Thewater
pressesuparubbermembrane(4)andaplunger(5)withapressureplate(6)whichclosesthe
valve’srubbermembrane(7).
Whenthecontrolvalveshutsoffwaterpressuretothedrainvalvethesprings(8)pullbackthe
plunger.Thereturnwaterpassesthecontrolvalveandrunsoutintothedrainviathereturnhose(9).
