Wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water.
Remove the ventilation grille (see the section
"Removing the ventilation grille") and vacuum-clean
under the cabinet. Once or twice a year dust the
condenser (black grille) and the compressor at the
back of the appliance, with a brush or vacuum
cleaner, as an accumulation of dust will affect the
performance of the appliance and cause excessive
elect ricity consumption.
When moving the cabinet, lift it by
the front edge to avoid scratching t he
floor.
Servicing and cleaning the ice
dispenser
When necessary, clean the surfaces of the dispenser
and the ice container that are accessible from the
outside, using only a soft cloth and warm water.
Never use cleaning agents with a grinding or
aggressive effect.
When necessary, the feeder and the ice container can
be cleaned after removal of the surfaces accessible
from the outside, using only a soft cloth and warm
water.
Ensure that the ice container is thoroughly dry
before being re-fitted.
If the system is not to be used for a long period, it is
advisable to switch off the ice machine and water
supply, empty the ice container and fit the cover
supplied over the delivery hole for ice in the door.
When re-starting, avoid using the ice produced
during the first day.
Defrosting
Defrosting is not necessary.
Every 24 hours, the evaporator is defrosted
automatically.
To change the light bulb
The light is switched on automatically when the
door is opened. Before replacing the light bulb,
disconnect the power plug from the outlet.
Cut the packaging around the bulb socket.
Keep the packaging on to hold the bulb when s etting
it into the socket. Do not touch the bulb with your
bare fingers. Halogen light bulbs are sensitive to
grease from the skin.
Use a clear halogen light bulb.
When the appliance is not in use
Disconnect the appliance from electricity supply.
Empty all foods and clean the appliance, leaving t he
doors ajar to prevent unpleasant smells.
If the cabinet will be kept on, ask somebody to
